CAST OF CHARACTERS

A.R. – A physician and former Chief of Hematology/Oncology at

          St. Joseph’s Hospital, Paterson, New Jersey.  He was the

          Registry’s Medical Director and a Board Member. 

          He is also Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the

          Bergen Community Regional Blood Center.

 

Clare Boothe Luce – (deceased) American playwright, journalist,

       congresswoman, diplomat, social activist.

 

C.T. – The former Director of Human Resources for the

Bergen Community Regional Blood Center,

and the sister-in-law of D.T., the CEO.

 

D.D. – Originally the HLA Registry Foundation’s bookkeeper,

 later became it’s COO when replacing I.S.,  and then

 given the title of Director after it’s merger with the Blood Center.

 

D.P. – A Coordinator at the Registry, and one of the more senior employees.

 

D.T. – The CEO of Bergen Community Regional Blood Center, he was

           previously employed by St. Joseph’s Hospital, Paterson, New Jersey.

 

Elie Katz – (deceased) Founder and CEO of the HLA Registry Foundation, married to M.K.

 

Elmo R. Zumwalt – (deceased) Admiral, U.S. Navy.

 

I.S. – Former CEO of the HLA Registry Foundation, hired to replace

         Elie Katz.  Was recommended for the position by J.F.B.

 

J.F.B. – A Catholic Nun, former CEO of St. Joseph’s Hospital, Paterson, New Jersey,

            currently on the Board of Trustees at Bergen Community Regional Blood Center.

 

J.K. – Elie Katz’s son, and the reason why Elie started the Registry.

 

K.A. – A Coordinator at the Registry.

 

K.L. - That’s me.  Originally a volunteer computer programmer,

         I was the Registry’s Manager of Information Systems

and was it’s most senior employee when the Registry merged

with the Bergen Community Regional Blood Center in 2002.

 

L.P. – An attorney with Peterpaul, Clark & Corcoran, PC,

         a law firm in Springfield, New Jersey.

 

M.K. – Elie Katz’s wife.
